Intent
Art allows our children to express their individual thoughts and interests through colour, texture, form and pattern resulting in work which they can be proud of. Learning about famous artists and their work strengthens the children’s knowledge of how Art has shaped the history and culture of our world. As pupils progress, they will think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of Art as well as learning new techniques to develop their creative skills further. We believe that these taught skills will promote individuality and freedom of thought and expression. Every child at Wyndcliffe will learn how to experiment, invent and create work which is enjoyable and educationally stimulating.
