What a wonderful first half term we have had in Year 2!
We have learnt so much and had fun whilst doing so. On the second week back after the Summer Holidays, we had a Castles Workshop, where two people taught us about what life would have been like for people who lived in a castle. We looked at the armour of a knight, how to cook medieval foods and different types of clothing which would've been worn by rich and poor people.
We have also had Maths Day, where we went around the different classrooms and completed activities surrounding Fluency, Reasoning and Problem Solving. In addition to Maths Day, we were also visited by The Maths Detective from Magical Maths. They performed a lovely assembly and we learnt some tricks on how to add numbers quickly.
Furthermore, we had an Inspire Reading Workshop and our parents were invited too! Some of us were lucky enough to sit down with our parents and complete tasks to improve our reading skills as well as our fluency.
We have had a great half term and we cannot wait for the next one!
